How to Send Flowers Anonymously Online

To send flowers anonymously online, choose a bouquet, provide the recipient’s delivery details and leave your name out of the gift message. At Pyat Tsvetov (5 Flowers), delivery is anonymous by default: the courier does not name the sender, and a card with your text is free. Before placing the order, check that the message itself does not identify you through a signature, nickname or shared reference.

Customers in our shops often ask whether an unsigned bouquet will still feel thoughtful, and how to arrange it from abroad. We have been helping people choose flowers since 2011, with three of our own shops in Saint Petersburg. The useful distinction is between keeping your name out of the handover and keeping the whole delivery a secret. The courier calls the recipient about 15 minutes before arrival, so plan for an anonymous gift with a short delivery warning.

Decide whether an anonymous bouquet will feel welcome

Start with the recipient’s likely reaction, rather than the effect you want the surprise to create. An unsigned birthday bouquet can feel cheerful when the person already expects gifts, while an unexplained romantic arrangement may leave them uneasy. If anonymity would make the recipient worry about who knows their address, giving a little context in the card is the kinder choice. A simple occasion-based message can explain the gesture without revealing your name.

Respect the boundaries that already exist between you and the recipient. Flowers should not be used to bypass a request for no contact, reopen an unwanted conversation or put someone under pressure to respond. For a colleague or a person you do not know closely, restrained wording and a modest-looking bouquet are usually easier to receive. If you cannot reasonably expect the gift to be welcome, reconsider sending it anonymously.

Choose flowers that suit the occasion and the setting

Begin with the recipient’s preferences if you know them: a favourite colour is often a better guide than a list of symbolic meanings. Red roses commonly suggest romance, which may be too strong a signal for an unsigned thank-you or friendly greeting. A mixed bouquet in colours the recipient enjoys can keep the gesture less loaded. Browse the bouquets catalogue with the occasion in mind, then consider the impression the whole arrangement makes.

Think about where the flowers will arrive and what the recipient will need to do next. Someone at work may have limited desk space or a journey home, so a very large bouquet can become a practical burden. If you know the person avoids strong floral scents, let that preference guide your choice. Flower meanings vary between people and cultures; an explicit, considerate card is more reliable than expecting a colour or variety to communicate your intention.

Write a card that offers warmth without creating a puzzle

Our free card lets you give the bouquet a clear purpose while leaving it unsigned. For a birthday, “Wishing you a peaceful day and a happy year ahead” provides enough context without inviting questions. For encouragement, “A little colour for your week, with warm wishes” keeps the message gentle and complete. Read the wording as the recipient would, especially if they have no reason to expect flowers.

Check more than the signature when deciding how anonymous the message should be. A private joke, a familiar pet name or a reference to yesterday’s conversation may identify you immediately. Avoid messages such as “I know where you are” or instructions to guess the sender, which can turn a pleasant gesture into an uncomfortable task. If you are considering an anonymous apology, remember that leaving out your identity may prevent the recipient from understanding what you are acknowledging.

Enter accurate delivery details when ordering from abroad

Choose the bouquet and prepare the recipient’s name, phone number and full delivery address before completing the online order. Include the city, street, building and flat or office number where relevant, and check any entrance information you already know. Use the recipient’s current Russian address rather than relying on an old saved contact. When ordering from another country, review the destination city carefully so that a familiar street name does not lead you to select the wrong place.

Keep the recipient’s contact details separate from any information you provide about yourself during checkout. Anonymous delivery describes what happens at the handover: our courier does not name the sender. It should not be understood as a promise that an order can be processed without customer information, or that the recipient cannot infer who sent it. Review the card text and any delivery notes before submitting, making your intention to keep the gift unsigned clear.

We deliver flowers across Russia, and city delivery costs 500 RUB. For remote districts and suburbs, the operator confirms the delivery price when confirming the order. Online checkout uses CloudPayments; check the payment options displayed there before relying on a particular card, especially if it was issued abroad. You can review our delivery and payment information, and questions can be directed to 8 (812) 507-67-05.

Plan the delivery around the recipient’s actual day

Choose a time when the recipient is likely to be at the address, with enough room in their day to receive and unpack flowers. In large cities, express delivery is available in 1–2 hours after the order is confirmed. Other options are delivery at an exact time with a margin of plus or minus 30 minutes, or the windows 09–12, 12–15, 15–18 and 18–21. Plan around the confirmation of the order, since the express timing starts from that point.

You can also pre-order 1–30 days ahead, which is useful when you are arranging a gift across time zones. Work from the date and time at the recipient’s destination, particularly if you are placing the order late at night abroad. In Saint Petersburg, delivery is available around the clock. Overnight flowers can still interrupt sleep or disturb a household, so use that option when you have a sound reason to believe the timing will be welcome.

Understand the handover and help the bouquet settle in

The courier calls the recipient about 15 minutes before arrival, so the surprise may begin with a phone call rather than a knock at the door. If the recipient is absent, we agree a second delivery the same day or handing the flowers to a neighbour or concierge with the sender’s consent. Consider beforehand whether either alternative would suit the person and the building. If handing the bouquet to someone else could cause embarrassment, make that concern clear when arranging the order.

Once cut flowers arrive, prompt care helps them settle into their new setting. Remove wrapping that would sit in water, use a clean vase and trim the stem ends with a clean, sharp tool. Keep leaves below the waterline removed, replenish the water and place the bouquet away from radiators and direct sun.
