Flower Delivery to Florida: Sending a Bouquet from Russia or Anywhere Else

Yes, you can order flower delivery to Florida from Russia or from any other country through Pyat Tsvetov. Florida is on our list of delivery destinations in the USA, alongside Miami, Aventura and hundreds of other American cities, and the order is placed online: you choose a bouquet on the Florida page, enter the recipient's address and the card text, and pay in rubles with delivery already included in the price.

Most people who ask us about Florida are in Saint Petersburg and have a daughter in Miami, a friend who retired to the Gulf Coast or colleagues who moved to Orlando. The questions they bring to the shop are always practical: how the order works from here, which flowers survive Florida heat, what to write on the card, and how American gift etiquette differs from Russian. This guide answers all of that in the order customers usually ask it.

How ordering flowers to Florida works

An order abroad is placed exactly like an order within Russia. Open the Flower delivery to Florida page, choose a bouquet, enter the recipient's name, full address and phone number, write the card text and pay online. The price shown is already converted to rubles and already includes delivery, so there is no separate delivery fee to calculate and no currency conversion to do at checkout.

You can pay with a Russian bank card, through SBP or Yandex Pay, and foreign bank cards are accepted too, through Robokassa. That matters for families split between countries: a son living in Tampa can pay with his American card for flowers to his mother in Saint Petersburg, and the mother can pay with her Russian card for flowers to him. The procedure is the same in both directions.

Note that the 500 RUB delivery fee, express delivery and the fixed time windows we describe on our Russian pages apply to Russian cities. For Florida, the delivery cost is part of the bouquet price on the page. If you have a question about a specific address or date before paying, call us on 8 (812) 507-67-05.

Filling in a US address without mistakes

American addresses follow a fixed order: house number and street name, then apartment or unit number, then city, the state abbreviation FL and the five-digit ZIP code. Write them in Latin letters exactly as the recipient uses them, for example with 'Apt 4B' or 'Unit 12' on the same line as the street. A missing apartment number in a Miami high-rise is the most common reason a courier cannot hand flowers over on the first attempt.

Always add the recipient's phone number in the international format, starting with +1. Many Florida residents live in gated communities and condominium buildings with a front desk, where the courier has to be let in or the concierge has to accept the delivery. A working phone number solves almost every access problem at the door.

If you are sending to an office, a hospital or a hotel, add the name of the company, the department or the room number in the address line. Hospitals in the US sometimes do not allow fresh flowers in intensive care units, so for a patient in hospital it is worth checking with the family first or sending the bouquet to their home for when they return.

Choosing flowers that cope with Florida heat

Florida is hot and humid most of the year, and indoor air conditioning is strong, so flowers move between warm and cold air. Roses, chrysanthemums, alstroemeria, carnations and orchids handle these conditions well and keep their shape for a week or longer. Hydrangeas and delicate garden-style flowers are beautiful but wilt quickly if left in a hot car or on a sunny porch, so they suit recipients who are certain to be at home.

Bright colours look right in Florida light: coral, orange, hot pink, sunny yellow and clean white with lots of green. Soft pastels that look elegant in a grey Saint Petersburg November can appear washed out in subtropical sun. For a romantic gift, red roses are understood everywhere; for a friend or a family member, a mixed bouquet in warm tones is a safe choice.

Tell the recipient to keep the bouquet away from the window and out of the direct stream of the air conditioner, to change the water every two days and to trim the stems by a centimetre each time. In a cool room with fresh water, most bouquets will last as long in Miami as they would in Petersburg.

American flower etiquette is different from Russian

Customers from Russia always ask about the number of stems. In the USA there is no odd-even rule: a dozen roses is the classic romantic bouquet, and an even number carries no funeral meaning at all. You can send ten, twelve or twenty-four flowers without any hesitation, although an odd number is of course perfectly fine too.

Occasions also differ. Americans send flowers for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day in May, Valentine's Day, a new job, a new baby and as thanks after a visit; International Women's Day on 8 March is not widely celebrated there, so a bouquet on that date will come as a pleasant surprise rather than an expected tradition. Flowers for a man are entirely normal in the US, especially for a birthday or a recovery.

For condolences, Americans usually send sympathy arrangements to the family home rather than handing them over in person, often in white and soft green. The card is short and warm, for example 'With deepest sympathy' followed by your name. Yellow flowers carry no negative meaning in America and are associated with friendship and cheer.

Timing, time zones and the card

Most of Florida is on Eastern Time, while the western part of the Panhandle uses Central Time. Moscow and Saint Petersburg are seven to eight hours ahead of Miami depending on the season, so when you place an order in the evening in Russia, it is still the afternoon in Florida. Keep this in mind when you want flowers to arrive on a particular date: plan by the recipient's calendar, not by yours, and place the order a few days in advance for birthdays and holidays.

Write the card in English, even if the recipient speaks Russian, unless you are sure they will read Cyrillic comfortably - a short message in Latin letters is the safest option for printing. Two or three warm sentences are enough. Sign it with the name the recipient knows you by, because the courier will hand over the flowers but will not tell them who sent them.

If you want the bouquet to be a surprise, do not tell the recipient the exact date, but do make sure someone will be at home or that the building has a front desk. For an office delivery, choose a working day and the morning hours of their time zone.
