Flowers in Almaty: choosing and sending a thoughtful bouquet

You can order flowers for delivery to Almaty, Kazakhstan, with Pyat Tsvetov (5 Flowers). Choose a bouquet on our Flower delivery to Almaty page, enter the recipient’s address and your card message, then pay online in rubles. The price shown already includes delivery; check the payment options displayed at checkout.

Customers often begin with a practical concern: choosing something appropriate when they cannot hand over the flowers themselves. We have run our Saint Petersburg flower shops since 2011, and our advice starts with the recipient’s taste, the occasion and where the bouquet will go. For Almaty, keep the bouquet choice and the delivery arrangements equally clear: a thoughtful colour palette matters, but so does a complete address.

Choose flowers around the person and the occasion

Start with what you know about the recipient, rather than a supposed universal meaning for each flower. Their favourite colour, a preference for simple arrangements or a dislike of strong fragrance gives you a useful starting point. Compare the bouquets on the Almaty page with those preferences, and choose from the options shown there.

For a birthday, colour can make the bouquet feel personal without needing a complicated explanation. Soft shades suit someone who prefers understated gifts, while a more varied palette may suit someone who enjoys bright interiors and clothing. For a colleague or a professional thank-you, let the card explain the occasion so the gesture is easy to understand.

For an anniversary or a romantic gift, think about the message the recipient will read into the whole arrangement. Red roses often suggest romance, but a favourite flower or colour can carry a more personal meaning. If you are sending an apology, write a direct, considerate note; flowers can accompany your words, while the words themselves need to acknowledge what happened.

Balance appearance with scent, space and everyday use

A bouquet needs somewhere to stand once it arrives, so consider the recipient’s home or workplace before choosing its scale. Someone with a small desk or limited shelf space may appreciate a more compact arrangement. Look at the shape and any dimensions given in the listing, since a close-up photograph alone does not reliably show the space a bouquet will occupy.

Fragrance deserves attention when flowers will sit beside someone for several hours. If the recipient has told you that floral scents bother them, use that information when assessing the listed composition. Do not assume that a pale bouquet has a light scent or that a colourful one smells stronger; colour is not a useful guide to fragrance.

If there is a cat in the household, avoid bouquets containing lilies, which are highly toxic to cats. Read the composition wherever it is provided, and seek clarification if you cannot identify a flower that matters to your choice. For any household with pets or young children, the recipient should place the bouquet and vase water out of reach.

Bouquets we can deliver

Make the message and the handover comfortable

Write the card as if you were speaking directly to the recipient, using a greeting and a clear reason for the gift. A birthday wish, a specific thank-you or a simple expression of affection usually needs only a few lines. A card with your text is free, so use it to add something personal that the bouquet itself cannot communicate.

Delivery is anonymous by default: the courier does not name the sender. If you want the recipient to know who sent the flowers, include your name in the card text. Read the message once from their perspective before submitting it, especially if you share a first name with someone else or are sending flowers after a long gap in contact.

For an office address, include the organisation and the details needed to find the recipient within the building. Consider whether they would enjoy receiving a personal gift in front of colleagues, particularly for a romantic occasion. A home address may feel more comfortable when the message is private, provided you have accurate delivery details for that address.

Order flowers to Almaty from another country

Almaty is one of our delivery cities in Kazakhstan, where we deliver to 16 cities, including Astana, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Shymkent. Our wider international service covers 53 countries and more than 1,630 cities. The full destination list is on Flower delivery abroad, a page in Russian; select the destination before comparing bouquets.

An international order follows the same basic process as an order within Russia: choose a bouquet on the country or city page, enter the address and add your card text. For Almaty, check the building number, apartment or office number, and any entrance information you provide. Enter the recipient’s contact details carefully, and use an unambiguous date wherever the order asks for one.

International prices are already converted to rubles and include delivery. Online checkout uses CloudPayments; check the options displayed there rather than assuming that a particular foreign-issued card will be accepted. Before completing payment, review the destination, bouquet, address and message together, since a correct payment cannot compensate for an incorrect delivery address.

Plan the timing and distinguish Almaty from Russian delivery

When ordering from abroad, work from the recipient’s calendar and local time in Almaty. This is especially useful around birthdays if your own date has already changed while theirs has not. Keep any requested date and timing clear in the order, and check the arrangements for the destination rather than applying delivery terms from another city.

Our Russian delivery terms include express delivery in large cities within one to two hours after order confirmation, as well as scheduled options. Those terms do not establish an express delivery time for Almaty. The 500 RUB city delivery charge also applies to Russian cities; international bouquet prices already include delivery, so do not add that domestic charge to your Almaty budget.

If you are also sending flowers to someone in Russia, we deliver across the country, with remote district and suburban charges confirmed by the operator. In Saint Petersburg, delivery is available around the clock. See Delivery and payment for that service, and call 8 (812) 507-67-05 with questions about your order or destination.

Help the recipient keep cut flowers fresh

Once the bouquet arrives, the recipient should prepare a clean vase and fresh water before arranging the stems. Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline, because submerged foliage breaks down and makes the water dirty. With a clean, sharp tool, trim the stem ends before placing the flowers in water; avoid crushing them with blunt scissors.

Place the vase away from direct sun, radiators and other sources of heat, and choose a stable surface where the bouquet will not be knocked over. Keep it away from ripening fruit, which releases ethylene that can shorten the vase life of sensitive flowers. There is no single reliable number of days for every bouquet: flower type, condition and care all affect how it lasts.

Check the water level daily and top it up as needed, particularly when the bouquet has many stems sharing one vase. Replace cloudy water and wash the vase when changing it, removing fallen leaves and fading flowers at the same time. If flower food is supplied, follow its instructions for the amount of water instead of adding an improvised mixture of household ingredients.
